Camera Shots/Angles Quiz
For this assignment, we were instructed to create a story with 15 pictures, illustrating a story with certain shots and angles. The story had to be school appropriate and we could use only two subjects which had to be inanimate. The teacher gave us 10 mandatory shot types, and then allowed the remaining five to be of our choice.
In class, we discussed various types of shots and angles in films and we took notes on them in order to complete this assignment. In the beginning, I took a long time to decide what to make my story about due to the restrictions of the subject(s) and the setting . However, after contemplating, I decided to create a story about a plushie's First Day of School. The reason for this was due to my class being permitted to take these shots in class, and I thought it was the perfect idea since we already had the perfect setting.
I believe that the shots I took accurately describe the progression of the story, in addition to the shot types we were able to select increased the creativity in this assignment. Adding onto this, I believe the composition of the shots were good as well since I made sure to pay attention to the rule of thirds and leading lines to ensure the success of creating visually appealing shots raising the overall aesthetic of this assignment . However, I definitely have room for improvement, since I could have improved the lighting of the shots in order to elevate the visual impact. I also could have included a more diverse range of angles to add onto the scene's pacing. Improving these things would allow my assignment to be more pleasing to view and it would greatly help with the overall idea of this assignment.
